- Main Interface
From the toolbars, you can access most of features in WinTasks. Use the buttons to modify processes, show sub-windows, and restore presets. Most commands can also be found in the menus and as keyboard short cuts.
The process list presents the information available on each process. Columns can easily be enabled/disabled from the View menu.
The Info window gives you a small description of most common processes to help you decide what can be stopped. You can also save your own notes for any process or rename the process if you like.
- Block- and Allow-Lists
The new block/allow feature makes it easier than ever before to secure your system. By adding an unwanted process to your block list, you can ensure that the process is never again allowed to run again on your system without your permission. If you need maximum security you can use the allow list to specify exactly which processes are allowed to run your system. This will prevent anything to run on your system without your explicit permission and will block any new security threat including unknown ones.
- Searchable Process Library
WinTasks gives you instant access to our extensive database of process descriptions and detailed process information.
